I heard about how inhumane of a lifestyle he had to live, as well a how horrible it is but I want to know what his opinion of the entire thing is. Since I presume he wasn't forcibly kept there, and had the ability to leave, I'm wondering what made him stay, other than fame/money?
the main thing he talks about is how that 1 year span being isolated in that room really had an effect on his mental, he said it increased his mental strength and that's what got him to persevere to reach the top of mount everest. he didn't really say much about his feelings on the show, but he did mention how it had gotten him more media attention and tv appearances so i'm sure he's somewhat grateful.
